'Sylvia’s Mother’ featured on Shel Silverstein tribute ‘Twistable, Turnable Man’

The Shel Silverstein tribute record, ‘Twistable, Turnable Man’ features the rockin’ track ‘Sylvia’s Mother’ (from The Boxmasters forthcoming CD ‘Bellflower’). The Boxmasters were asked to lend their talent (along with two generations of artists such as Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, My Morning Jacket and Andrew Bird) to the songs of poet, writer and illustrator Shel Silverstein. Critics have cited, “The Boxmaster's version of 'Sylvia's Mother' avoids the campy exaggeration of Dr. Hook's original to nail its earnest heart.”

‘Twistable, Turnable, Man’ reached the Top Ten on the Americana Chart and continues to hold steady in the Top 20!
